Such adversity will include career changes, work stresses, management difficulties, work-life-family balance, and health challenges, to name a few. About Marianne

Marianne Monte is chief people and administration officer at Shawmut Design and Construction, a leading $1.3 billion national construction management firm. As CPAO, Monte is responsible for strategy and processes that serve the core operating needs of the firm, including Human Resources, Marketing, Legal, and Information Technology. She drives the continued growth and success of the organization, working with executive leadership to drive seamless execution and development of key talent to meet business objectives. She advises on business strategy, using her effective executive coaching, talent management, and business partner leadership to create an inclusive work environment in which employees thrive. Since starting, Monte’s work has been integral to Shawmut continually being named Best Workplace by Fortune Magazine. Monte was named a Diversity Champion in GlobeSt Real Estate Forum’s 2022 Women of Influence awards and received the 2017 Providence Business News C-Suite Award in the Chief Human Resources Officer category. Monte is on the board of trustees for The Gordon School and Rhode Island State Post-Secondary Board of Education. She is also an active volunteer with Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders (GLAD).

About Christina

Christina Oneglia Rossi (M.S. Construction Management) is the Vice President of Business Development for O&G Industries, Inc.’s Building Group. She began her career as a Project Engineer in the field, dabbled with BIM and Clash Detection, and served the company as a Project Manager in the Special Projects Group. In her current role, Oneglia Rossi is responsible for driving the strategic direction of the Building Group, along with input from the Building Group Executive Team, to set goals and achieve pursuits. She enjoys making new connections and strives to gain new business opportunities for O&G. Oneglia Rossi has been a member of the Hartford Hospital Auxiliary Board for seven years doing “good works for Hartford Hospital” and has recently been involved with Dignity Grows, a non-profit that provides sanitary totes to men and women in need.

About Wendy

Wendy Venoit is a Shareholder with Cozen O’Connor in Boston, MA. Her practice focuses on the litigation and arbitration of domestic and international construction disputes, including mediation and arbitration before the AAA, JAMS, LCIA, ICDR and ICC. She is an experienced trial attorney, having handled dozens of construction disputes, some involving claims in excess of $1 billion. Most recently, she obtained an arbitration award in excess of $237 million for her client in an international arbitration arising out of the wrongful termination of an EPC Contract. Venoit also serves as an arbitrator and is a member of the panel of neutrals of the AAA (Construction), AAA Mega Projects, ICDR, CPR (Construction, Insurance Policy Holder Coverage, and Boston at Large ADR Panels), LCIA, and ICC and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. She is a Past Chair of the ABA Forum on Construction Law, a Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers, co-chair of the CIArb Boston Chapter, Board Member of the CIArb North American Branch, Board Council of the AAA, Board Member of Women in Construction and National Board Development Committee of Girl Scouts USA. For the past eight years, she has been named in the International Who's Who of Construction Law and was recently named Massachusetts Lawyer of the Year.
